Recently we examined how the "truth" can be manipulated to fit one's purposes. Hitler, in his excerpt, "On Nation and Race" manipulated scientific evidence to influence people's beliefs about a superior race and its necessity in order to create a stronger Germany. Sadly, many fell victim to Hitler's faulty logic, and even some of the most educated looked past the truth in the hopes of seeing a stronger Germany no matter what the cost.


Today, we will look at what happens when a truth is exposed. You will be reading a recent article from The Huffington Post, linked below. As you read, examine HOW the writer exposes a dangerous "truth," one that remained hidden from the public due to its impact on the public health, and significantly, one that is right at our doorstep.
